Not only have they been friends throughout our professional careers, they too are a husband/wife creative team. The pattern created is memorable with impact and the stationery is clean. There is no strong trend or style which makes this brand versatile to the market and timeless.

With only 5 weeks to complete this project, we started with an intense initial brainstorming. The challenge was expressing what the company did in a way that would evoke the retail marketing executive to act and better than any of their competitors.

Presentations made previous to our professional brand design made little impact on the audience; Making it easy for Catalyst Advantage to get lost in the shuffle.

As a sister company to an already established brand, we were careful not to lose any of the corporate equity as we worked to define this business as the creative arm of the larger entity. Mission accomplished! From the name, tagline and intelligent logo design to the printing process on the business card, this brand plays off the professionalism of the larger entity yet highlights the creativity of the Juice team.

The results are exciting! In combination with a commitment to design education, the execution of the Juice brand highlights the team’s creativity and custom design capabilities. Partnerships with manufacturers and distributors began to form. Projects with architects and interior designers poured in. The business turned a profit from day one and gave the team members the opportunity to do what they love. Now it is an indisposable complement to the lighting agency sister company with Juice customers making up 30% of total projects billed for the companies as a whole.

The do-it-yourself logo kit that came with his PC couldn’t quite capture the detail oriented craft that makes Frank’s gun stock restoration business different from all the rest. The result of the rebrand is a creatively evolving visual language that highlights the literal and whimsical elements of creating and restoring gun stocks.

In the just-under-a-year with the new brand, Sycamore Hill Designs has picked up manufacturing contracts with reputable name brands and has become the only retail gunshop on the East Coast that fits and sells many international legacy brand stocks. The demand for custom restoration and personal fittings has increased with Frank’s commitment to gun basics education and increasing his brand presence.

Shining Star Services

Shining Star Services is company that truly understands what it means to have outstanding customer service. The two ideas that kept coming up in brainstorming was the “white glove” test and an image of the gas station attendants from the 50′s. The icon pays homage to a time when customer service was king yet is timeless in its execution.

The results are just starting to be seen with marketing starting in April 2011 in both Syracuse and Rochester through their ground force sales team.

From the name of the company to the execution of the design concept, this company is sophisticated and alludes to the innovation in green technology without being too descriptive. This allows the company to grow in services as technology changes without having to revamp the brand.

Check back often to get updates on the super success of this brand. It was released in February and will just continue to build recognition with manufacturing and facilities management. There has been an overwhelmingly positive response to the brand switch from existing customers and the employees wear the new brand with pride.

Taylor

The 26 year old company had not revisited their brand since its inception. Over time, their customers had come to know RJ Taylor Construction as Taylor. It took little persuading to get the Taylor team to embrace the change. They were ready to redefine their corporate culture to communicate their commitment to their partners, employees and the community. The layered “T” is abstractly industrial and could be interpreted as threads of a screw or the perspective of a highrise building.

The new logo and website received instant recognition and overwhelming acceptance when it was released at the Rochester International Jazz Festival Taylor Partner Appreciation Party. From there the recognition only grew. The new brand helped to get Taylor on the community radar with a #21 ranking on the Rochester Top 100 and following, a number of articles in local business papers. They recognized the need for a social media specialist to be on their team and expanded to include an experienced marketing coordinator. They now have an online presence in social media communities and is gaining following every day. The team feels confident that they can compete with younger teams and companies and that their new brand will attract innovative talent.

This established brand had become obsolete with the advance in technology. When you work in telecommunications, your team must be thoroughly dedicated to and knowledgeable of current trends in technology. A bulky, mustard yellow handset was replaced with the speed and agility of the electric blue and dynamic winded “d”.

The rebrand was warmly received by their current clients. Dialog saw an increase of referrals helping them reach their goals of 75% coverage in the regions that they served. With an increase in the bottom line, they acquired a company which expanded their geographical reach and services. In the new market, the brand quickly grew recognition which allowed the sales team to reach their goals of 65% coverage within 6 months of being in each new location.
